Harvey Norman and Latitude to appeal ASIC 'misleading conduct' findings

Harvey Norman and Latitude Financial Services will both appeal a Federal Court ruling against the pair, which found both guilty of misleading consumers for advertising a 60-month interest-free and no deposit payment methods that in fact required consumers to take out a credit card to purchase the goods. 


 

The staying power of online shopping

Shoppers spent $1.5 billion on online physical goods in the third quarter of 2024 (Q3 2024), up 1% from the same period last year (Q3 2023). This growth was driven by an 8% increase in the number of online transactions and offset by a 6% decrease in the average amount spent on each transaction.

Shoppers can now link their Coles account to 1receipt and at checkout, scan a single barcode from the app or digital wallet to receive a paperless receipt, all within 1receipt.

 

Rip Curl is rewarding loyalty points for going surfing

Loyalty programs are evolving beyond giving points for purchases, rewarding activities and engagement. Participants earn points when they go surfing, collecting 200 points for every wave they catch, provided they’re wearing a Rip Curl Search GPS Watch, which logs waves ridden.
