We were briefed to envisage the Hirepool branch of the future. Through a defined process of discovery, we identified unmet customer needs and proposed the development of a new category, rich with potential to become an additional revenue stream and increase frequency of visits. 


The RX team identified key touchpoints that would enhance the customer journey making it easier to shop and find critical information and services. Our team also developed an end-to-end solution for the newly identified Consumables category including category planning, supplier negotiations and sourcing, store design to cut in the new category and staff training including ongoing planograms.


The branch of the future was delivered to full concept stage and is planned to roll-out into more locations throughout NZ.

As the dominant player in industrial, commercial, tradie and DIY consumer equipment hire, Hirepool wanted to envisage their future and reinvent their offer to remain first and best in market.

Hirepool

The destination for tools of the trade for building, gardening, and home improvements. Catering tradies and weekend DIY’ers with over 70 branches.

One of the reasons we worked with Juanita, Lisa and the whole RX team is because they are good people who know how to get the job done and have fun.

Life is too short to work with people who don’t enjoy what they are doing and this group of people are all passionate about customers and they are experienced retailers so can talk the same language....they understand the commercial realities of our business and can identify unmet needs. Sometimes you need someone from outside your business to look in and uncover those opportunities.

After completing the pilot store, we entered it into the annual Hire Excellence Awards, our industry benchmark for top performers. We won a gold award with the highest score of any entries for the year!
